Robin’s Egg Blue and White Wedding Invitation Collection

Over the 9+ years that I’ve been designing wedding invitations and special occasion stationery suites, I have received numerous requests to make a color change to a certain shade of turquoise that is used on a famous blue jewelry box.

It is such a pretty color that it is understandable why people want to use it as their wedding color. It’s also versatile enough to use throughout the whole year, paired with white or yellow for spring or summer weddings, or with gray, orange, or black for fall and winter weddings.

Many other colors also work with this shade of turquoise or teal blue. I’ve seen some lovely wedding photos that pair turquoise with purple, fuchsia, and lime green to name a few.

And of course turquoise blue will always work well for a tropical destination wedding because it also coordinates so well with sand and tan colors.

Tiffany blue wedding decorationsI think that most brides that have requested the famous shade of aqua blue have wanted to use it as a whole wedding theme paired with white satin ribbons, and lots of sparkly bling to make everyone think of the high-end jewelry retailer.

So, with that in mind, I decided to try my hand at designing a wedding invitation suite in robin’s egg blue (light teal blue) and white that combines my style with the famous jewelry brand. I imagined planning a wedding using the turquoise color with white ribbon, romantic double hearts bling, and modern typography with a few elegant touches of ornate scrolls and flourishes.

One of the reasons that I hadn’t tackled it before was because of the printed on ribbon images I use. Getting the ribbon to still look like a ribbon instead of a white blob was a bit tricky as I still wanted to keep some of the highlights and shadows that exist on real ribbons. With much tweaking, I finally achieved a look that I’m very happy with and I hope you will be too.

2019 seems to be a big year for fairy tale weddings. I know at Lemon Leaf Prints we’ve seen a lot of couples buying very romantic wedding invitations that either has the joined hearts look as seen in this wedding collection, or they have been buying the storybook “Once Upon a Time” type of fairytale invitations.

Tiffany blue white wedding cakeIt warms my heart to think of these very happy couples starting out their new lives in such an “in-your-face” kind of way that represents their undying love for each other.

Can’t you just picture their wedding venue all decked out in turquoise blue and white with lots of sparkly lights and glittery jewels adorning the tables? I can. I think it would be quite breathtaking to walk into the reception hall and be greeted with all the blue and white tables, possibly with tall centerpieces with white flowers.

You can go as grand as you like or you can keep it simple and let the pure white and aqua blue colors speak for themselves and use dainty centerpieces and crisp linens to evoke a sense of modern sophistication instead of over-the-top luxury. Whatever your dream wedding looks like, carry your theme throughout all aspects of the wedding to give it all a well thought out cohesiveness that is sure to impress your guests.

A Paris Themed Bridal Shower Invitation Suite

Paris Eiffel Tower bridal shower invitation, recipe cards, address labels and favor tags

With so many bridal shower themes to choose from, how on Earth can you possibly pick one? Sure, some obscure theme might be unique and very personal for the bride, but it’s also going to make your job so much harder in terms of planning and purchasing items for the theme. So why not make your theme one that is chic and stylish and also has an absolute ton of possibilities for decor ideas, food and wine ideas, games to play, party favors, and so much more? I think you’d be hard pressed to find an easier bridal shower to plan than a Paris or Eiffel Tower themed one.

Paris party place setting ideaI designed this Paris themed bridal shower suite to go along with a “Night in Paris” type party, with an emphasis on black with a white Eiffel Tower to represent the night sky with the tower lit up. I also chose a soft pink color as many of the decor ideas etc. use a pink, black, and white color palette, but of course you can choose any color scheme you want. The colors of this Paris theme bridal shower suite can also be changed to whatever colors you want and the Eiffel Tower can be changed to black on a white background if you’ll be hosting a daytime or “Brunch in Paris” shower instead.

For this bridal shower suite, I thought that it might be fun to have “A Night in Paris” theme so that if you wanted to have a couple’s shower with all the guys and gals there it could turn into a nice evening for everyone. It also works great for a girl’s night out celebration too. Picture all the ladies glammed out in their finery, sipping wine and French cuisine, eating fancy pastries, and having a great time. Oh la la, indeed!

The Paris or Eiffel themed bridal shower stationery suite uses the pink, black, and white color scheme, along with an illustration of the Eiffel tower on all the matching stationery pieces. The French Fleur-de-lis symbol is used on several pieces for the background pattern with a small polka dots pattern paired with it for a stylish look. French phrases and words like “Ooh la la!” and “Je t’aime” have been added for a cosmopolitan look. The French words can be changed to anything you want and the party invitation wording is all customizable, making it suitable for any Paris themed event or party.
